Wednesday, November 27 is the Student Success Day at DCVI. This date allows students to be further supported in their learning and receive additional time to develop their knowledge and skills in their classes. Since this date is not required for all students, we have chosen to maximize the benefit of this day by holding an “OSSLT Prep & Practice” during the first two periods of this day.
Grade 10 students will be writing the OSSLT during periods 1 and 2 on Thursday, November 28. Meaning, the OSSLT Prep & Practice will take place one day prior to the actual assessment date. At AMDSB, we’re committed to fostering a community where every voice is valued. This year, we’re continuing our partnership with unlearn. to empower students interested in leadership and social justice. Recently, students from our secondary schools and Stratford Secondary School (SIS) gathered at the Brodhagen Community Centre for an inspiring workshop focused on student voice and that used graphic design as a way to provoke thoughtful discussions.

LUSO, a community outreach organization, is holding a video contest to commemorate March 21st, The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Leroy, our guest speaker from last week, encouraged students from DCVI to enter the contest.
