|2/19/2020||Junior Girls Volleyball||The junior girls volleyball travelled to Stratford yesterday for the Huron-Perth playoffs. In their opening quarter-final match against Listowel, the team controlled play and won the best of five match in three sets. The team saved their best play of the season for the semi-final match versus first place St. Mikes. The Salukis served tough and played strong defence in the fast paced game. Julia Cameron made some big plays at the net while Ellen Thorup and Josie Corby consistently set up hitters Audrey Littlejohn and Becky Walsh. Ultimately, the girls were defeated by close scores of 25-22, 25-20 and 25-22. The team will now re-group to prepare for the WOSSAA qualifying match on Monday in Mitchell where a win will give them a chance to play for the WOSSAA championship on Tuesday in London.|
